WOW! What wonderful pictures! WHo knew we cleaned up so good? Tho I do not recall owning a pair of spider gloves, I sure as heck am a big fan of them.

I have been having great fun with House. We have been deciding on what is going to get re-modeled ( the tiny bathroom, the master bedroom closets and the entire porch, some of the kitchen, the ceiling of the back bedroom ) and what colors it will all be painted ( anything except what is currently there, I do shudder ) I will take some more pictures for you soon.

I have not been having fun trying to get gas and electricity, two things no home should be without. Who knew it would be difficult. I am a ( somewhat ) sane adult women with a perfect credit rating, but it seems the previous were not so careful with their bills and there was a shut off notice there today.

Silly me, I thought that simply saying I had purchased the house and was the new owner and desired to be signed up would be sufficient. I sat on the phone for an hour talking to an increasingly dour set of folks , tho in fairness they started out nicely. By the time I reached the STATE CREDIT INVESTAGOR , as dour a chap as one will ever talk to, the questions had become ludicrous. Background check? Next of kin? Faxes of the closing papers on the house????

Candles people, I will need candles. And wood. For I do not believe the Great and All powerful Gas/Eletric company is going to deem me worthy of anything else.

More on House as the situations develop, as they no doubt will, such an adventure.

As Malena says, we are leaving for Boston on Saturday to record with Chris Ewan, which will be nothing but wonderful, then back here for a couple of concerts at Convergence, which will also be wonderful, then she is off to travel.

I’ll just come home and sit in the dark.

In a few short days Lorraine and I will be on our way to the recording studio. We’re so excited! The studio always brings the best..and the worst in people. Of course, Lorraine and I had a total blast last time. I can’t wait for all of you to hear these songs. They remind me of a mix of Depeche Mode, U2, and LaM!!! Seriously! Chris Ewen, the composer and producer is a gothic mad genius who will no doubt bring out the best in us. I hear we may even get to visit the goth club where he DJ’s. Yeah! I’m bringin the corsets baby. Twist my arm..and the laces too.

We will keep you updated as much as we can. Fablo will be back before I will. She’ll be blogging about the CON I’m sure. I have some other traveling to do after Convergence. I will return on the 20th of July. Ahhhhhhh the separation anxiety is killing me darlinG! hee hee. I will be sure to take lots of photos for you. I’ll be separated from my LaMies for 3 whole weeks!

Hey LaMies! WOW! I feel loved. Yes, thanks to Lorraine I will be the “toast of the town” with my new chrome toaster. She bought me the same one she has. Do we also have matching underwear you ask? Yes! Along with a hundred or so other LaMies.

Thank you everyone for all the gifts. Nora airbrushed the grey satin mary janes. So goth-deva-rific! My local LaMies loved them. She and Laura also gave me the jet vintage bracelet. Love it!

Kristina, our resident fairy made me the most amazing beaded dragons and fairies. I can’t wait for the LaMie Store. Get your sites going girls. Fablo, Kitty and I are cooking up all kinds of ideas in the witchy kitchen. After all, don’t we deserve to do what we love and get paid for it? Yeah! Girl Power indeed!

Miles bought me the “Malificent would be jealous” shoes. Red and black velvet, fur, leopard and rhinestones. What could be better than that? CHOCOLATE Cake! That’s what.
The Inn at the 7th Ray IS the most romantic restaurant in LA, however they don’t have any chocolate. Ah! Miles was VERY disappointed. Almost as much as me. (I do not need my diet to be saved on my birthday thank you very much!) I settled for a papaya peach mango tart. I guess my bodacious bum will thank me for it.
Inn at the 7th Ray reminds me of Rivendale in the Lord of the Rings Films. really..It is that magical. We go every year for my birthday. I really felt like a princess.

People have been stopping by all day. My oldest LA friends Lourdes and Beth stopped by. They are the lil’ LaMies in the middle of the postcard. Beth just got Married. On 6-6-06 no less. So cute! I love taking and getting photos of all of you.

I’m so thankful for all the time and energy you spend with us. It’s so fun to hear you are enjoying our music. I’m glad you are giggling with me on the “Influenza Remix”. I just laugh. I had to go sooo over the top to cover up my cold. Lorraine on the other hand lit that violin on fire! (Not literally. We’re not Motley Crue) Although I could use some stage performance lessons Nikki and Tommmy! Trade you for a reading. Hee heeee

My little mailbox man must think I’m a big star with all this fan mail. However, I think the “goth chic with no makeup in an oversized batman crew sweatshirt” throws him off that train of thought real QUICK! I just love you all to pieces. Somewhere out west, in a dark , silent , cobwebbed covered crypt, the sort of place Creatures of the Night are wont to inhabit in the day light hours, sleeps….The sweetest girl in the world.

And today is her Birthday.

Yes, my best friend is the entire world, is having a Birthday today. I have in fact sent her a present, tho of course, I cannot say at this exact moment what it is, but I think she will like it.

And so, Malena, I wish you Many Happy Returns of the Day. Or night actually, she is not much for daylight hours this girl. I send you spiders, and bats and skelotons, a vampire or two, some ghouls, as well as a host of un-dead Things, and my only regret is that I can’t be there for the party.

But I will think about her.

First of all before I say ANYTHING about my wonderful new house, Paul and I are playing at Charles in Stillwater tonight and tomorrow, Friday and Saturday 7:30 to 11:30, for those of you in the Twin Cities. I know it is beyond hot here, as in 90 or so, but we promise to play nice, cool, relaxing songs tonight. So come and chill out with us!

We have mens Large, X-large and XX-large and women’s Large and Extra Large ( tho I use the terms for the women’s shirt loosely, no, I am not going back on that rant again, but come on ! )

MALENA’S HOLLYWEIRD UPDATE
Hi All! Malena here. Wow! The last few weeks have been busy busy busy. First, my sister and Miles’ sister came to visit, then Kitty had a fabulous photography show. Here are a few photos of our adventures.
We went to the San Diego state fair with Miles’ sister Paige. She and Miles are dare devils, riding every frightening hair splitting ride they could…I on the other hand, rode 3 rides. The slide, the ferris wheel and the “crazy” mouse (a child’s roller coaster). Yes, I admit to being a roller wus. Hee hee! Got some great photos though!

We had a blast as you can see. Gotta love those haunted houses. I wanted to steal the sign and take it home with us. It WOULD fit in with the TEVES decor..no surprise to you LaMies. You’re all well aware of what creature of the night we are.

Kitty’s photo show was a real hit, and so was she. Lookin’ all sexy she was! When people ask if we are sisters, I always say YES! I want to be like Kitty when I “grow up”!

The studio was packed all night long and visited by Rock and Roll and TV hall of famers galore. Nikki Sixx bought one of Meow’s pieces…and Molly Sims did too. She was SOOOOoooo beautiful in person. (Cover Girl spokesmodel and Swimsuit Illustrated Cover Model) She was like an elf from the Lord Of the Rings only prettier. We were even visited by a Neil fan who read about the event in his blog. Here’s a pic of Sean and I.

Lorraine and I leave to record on July 1st. I can’t believe it’s just around the corner. CONvergence is shortly after than on July 7-9th. And, NO I will not have the flu!! Lorraine and I have been listening the to the audio from Balticon. I am unofficially calling it the “Influenza Remix” Hee heeeee
Miles will be joining us for this CON as the Guest of Honor. With him in the audience, I’ll be sure to rev it up for Mr. Gorgeous. (How much more could I rev?? I did rip off half my clothes at Balticon while singing I’m Your Man)Oops. But the crowd loved it. CONvergence is sure to be yet another whirl wind adventure thanks to LORRAINE. She’s the kick ass funny one you know. She’s a closet stand up comedian.

Lots of fun things going on here in Teves-topia. My birthday is Monday the 19th. I am going to be 21 again, with more walking around sense! Mwaaaaa ha ha ha. Funny how that works. Miles and a few hollywierd friends are going to the Inn at the 7th Ray. (Fairy paradise extrordinaire)

Made an offer on the amazing Clawfoot Bath Tub today. ( which includes the rest of the house and land ) and I think all will be well and I will soon have my wonderful Witchie House on the Hill!

My head is , of course whirling and I can’t much think of things except things like ” where do the books go? ” and ” gods I hate that fridge ” and ” who choose these colors and how do I re-paint EVERYTHING ” but I am truly happy and in love. It’s going to be such fun making it all mine!

( Thanks for the info on the make your own bone chandelier , but some things are possible and some , well, I fiddle real good, but make my own bone chandelier ??? Won’t happen. I will get one tho with spiders and bats and gargoyles! )

I am going back now to my whirling brain which seems to be saying over and over, ” I have a House? I just bought a House?????? “

I can’t believe a week has gone by and I have barely even read our blog, it has been quite a week here tho. Last weekend Lojo and I had SO much fun playing, I forget just how good that lady really is. Great news is that we will be playing at Charlies again on August 12th, and we will be doing some shows October thru December, more on all of those as they get closer. I am hoping at some point, to get her on stage with Malena and I, which would be a truly great time, add in Emma Bull from my Flash Girls Bandd you have , I believe ALL of my fantasies coming true at once. ( at least the ones I am publicly admiting to )

Since I see it already out there on the web , I thought I might get my own news in, yes, it’s true, I am buying a house of my very own. I think I may have found the house, a lovely Victorian place with a wild back yard where I can make fairy gardens to my hearts content , and have chandeliers with skulls and spiders, not to mention FINALLY getting my collection of skeletons out of the closet (kid you not, that’s where I keep them ). Malena is going to come out later in the summer and help me decorate with all the sorts of cool things we both love, she has taste that girl.

I have already picked the spot for the hot tub, very important thing, for any Gothic Dream Home and the bath tub is a CLAW FOOT BATH TUB. ( how perfect I have a bandmate I suspect has claws on her feet too. And fingers for that matter. ) It is NEAR the cemetery, but sadly, not right beside it, which was a feature I had been keeping towards the top of the list , but the wilderness backyard, tin ceilings, and TWO fireplaces more than make up for it.

No idea yet about Ghosts, but one can’t have everything.

Hopefully by the end of the week I will have my very own Witchie House on the Hill. Keep your fingers crossed!

Lorraine and I are getting back into the groove of being home. That really was a rocken’ diva deva powered weekend. A cyber toast to many more!

Neither of us had time to stop when we touched down either. I spend two days showing off L.A. at universal studios. Thank God for the water misters is all I have to say for this black clad goth-tress.

Lorraine gigged all weekend with Lojo Russo. (The bad ass singer on I’ll Tell Me Ma from the Mirror Mirror album.) Lojo! CD, tour info please. As co-founder of the LaMies I need to know! Lorraine and I ask the green pixies to channel us in a little Lojo when on stage. The chic’s on fire. Fablo is cooking up some future plans I hear…Shhhhh!

Convergence is coming up. That means more spectacles of leather and spandex for the LaMies. Poor Lorraine. I tell ya. She puts up with a LOT of hollywood glam. I say…”Yeah it’s comfortable as long and you don’t breath deep and you don’t sit down” Mortisha hobble dresses I say! Well…That is, unless we’re hanging out or working. Then the produce dude at Ralph’s says to me, “Do you have an older hot sister who wears a lot of makeup and dresses all goth?” And I say, yes! Her name is Malena. (true story) That was the day I ate a chocolate sucker Lorraine sent me and it ended up stuck to my sleeve all day. No glamour that day. Couldn’t hunt it down with a lazer powered rocketlauncher. We geminis are one or the other. I am Malenaus Dorkus mostly…I am nerd..Hear me roar! (as she signs the V with her outstretched hand.) Where was I…..

Yes LaMie glam. Our Goth Bo Peep Danth has offered to help upload video. Yeah baby.
Only three weeks or so till our next adventure. Man when all this touring is over, we’ll have a slew of photos and clips. It’s “Backstage with Lorraine a’ Malena” Ehhhhhhhhh!

Ohhhh. BTW, Here’s a hot new tidbit for Thingie and LaMie fandome. American Scary is almost finished. Yes! Finally all the classic (and modern) horror hosts interviewed on one tape. I hear my mug will be popping up a few times…
